About the Pequot Running Club

Interested in a local casual running and walking club for all ages and levels? Join the Pequot Runners for $15! Just click on the blue button below. We're a sociable bunch of fitness enthusiasts who think running is more enjoyable when you hit the pavement with friends.

The Pequot Running Club is the organization behind the acclaimed Thanksgiving Day 5 mile road race and 2.6 mile walk that has become a holiday tradition throughout the region. Net proceeds from the race support local charities benefiting children and families – over 1 million dollars has been given in donations since the inception of the club. There are casual running and walking groups that leave at 8:15am every Sunday morning in front of Wakeman Boys and Girls Club clubhouse at 385 Center St, Southport, CT.
